About the Wheel of Colors

Welcome to the Wheel of Colors, a specialized random color picker designed for artists, designers, teachers, and gamers. Sometimes, you just need fate to decide your next creative direction. Whether you are trying to pick a color palette for a new graphic design project, deciding what color shirt to wear today, or playing a homemade game of Twister, this color spinning wheel is the perfect tool.

What makes this specific wheel so powerful is our custom color-matching technology. You aren't just limited to basic colors like red, blue, and green. By utilizing standard HEX codes (like #FF5733) or HTML color names, you can populate the wheel with highly specific, gorgeous gradients and shades. The wheel will physically paint each slice with the exact color you specify, while keeping the text cleanly separated. It is highly responsive, visually stunning, and completely free to use.

How to Use the Color Wheel

  1. Understand the Format: To create a custom color, type the text you want to see, followed by a pipe |, followed by the color code (e.g., Ocean | #0077be).
  2. Add your Colors: Use the text box to enter as many colors as you need, one per line.
  3. Apply Changes: Click the dark "Apply Changes" button to physically paint the wheel with your new colors.
  4. Spin: Click the "Spin Color" button and let the realistic physics engine choose your color!

Color Wheel FAQ

1. Can I use specific HEX codes for the colors?

Yes! You can use exact hex codes to match brand guidelines or specific art palettes. Just format it as "Text | #HEXCODE".

2. What happens if I don't type a color code?

If you just type a word (like "Car") without a pipe symbol, the wheel will automatically assign it a beautiful default color from the selected theme.

3. Is this good for deciding art prompts?

Absolutely. Many digital artists use the Wheel of Colors to randomly generate 3 or 4 colors, challenging themselves to draw a character using only that palette.

4. Can I save my custom color palette?

Yes, click the "Save" button with the floppy disk icon at the top. Your palette will be saved in the "My Wheels" menu.

5. How many colors can I add?

You can add as many as you like! However, the wheel looks and performs best with around 5 to 50 distinct colors.

6. Does the winner popup show the messy HEX code?

No, our smart system strips away the hex code during the celebration. If you wrote "Sky | #87CEEB", the winner popup will simply say "Sky".

7. Can I play games like Twister with this?

Yes, it's a great digital replacement for lost spinners. Just set up Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green, and spin away.

8. Do I have to pay to use custom colors?

Not at all. Every feature on the Random Pick Generator, including the custom color engine, is completely free.

9. How do I delete a color?

Just highlight the line in the text box, delete it, and click the "Apply Changes" button.

10. Can I favorite my color wheel?

Yes, click the heart icon in the top toolbar to add it to your favorites. It will always appear at the top of your saved wheels list.
